Feature of 2.5 MVA Oil Immersed Electrical Distribution Transformer

Designed for reliability and versatility in industrial and mining applications, our 2.5 MVA oil-immersed distribution transformer integrates robust construction and user-centric design—delivering consistent performance across critical power scenarios.

1. Durable Tank Design & Safe Voltage Regulation

Boasting a rugged tank structure, the transformer passes a 1-atmosphere pressure resistance test to ensure leak-proof operation even in harsh conditions. Unlike traditional models, it eliminates the need for an oil conservator, streamlining the design while maintaining oil stability. High and low-voltage cable connection enclosures are welded to both sides of the tank wall, enabling secure and convenient cable routing. The high-voltage coil features a rated voltage with a 15% tap voltage range; voltage adjustment requires disconnecting the power source first, then removing the protective cover of the tap changer on the tank wall to switch taps—ensuring operational safety at every step.

2. Flexible Low-Voltage Connection Options

The transformer’s low-voltage side supports flexible configurations: it can be Y-connected to deliver a 690V power supply or alternatively configured for 400V output, adapting to diverse load requirements. Inside the cable junction box, six porcelain bushings directly extend the secondary terminals, allowing users to modify connections on-site without complex disassembly—enhancing adaptability for different application scenarios.

3. Convenient Hoisting & Mining-Adaptable Installation

For easy transportation and deployment, integrated lifting lugs are welded to the tank wall, enabling stable hoisting of the entire unit. The tank bottom is equipped with a trolley-mounted base, complete with pre-drilled mounting holes. This design allows for the installation of mining-specific trolley rollers, making the transformer ideal for mobile or fixed applications in mining environments—simplifying movement and placement in constrained spaces.
