The ZW8-12 Series Outdoor High-voltage Vacuum Circuit Breaker is a specialized outdoor high-voltage switching device engineered for three-phase AC 50Hz power systems, with a rated voltage of 12KV. It is primarily designed to safely interrupt and close load currents, overload currents, and short-circuit currents in rural power grids, urban power grids, and small-scale power systems, serving as a core component for grid stability and fault protection.
Adopting a three-phase common tank structure, the breaker houses three-phase vacuum interrupters within a metal cabinet, utilizing SMC insulating material to achieve reliable phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground insulation. This structural design not only enhances insulation strength but also ensures long-term stable operation in harsh outdoor environments.
The ZW8-12G variant, a combined circuit breaker integrating the ZW8-12 breaker with an isolating switch, offers flexible application as a section switch and supports both built-in and external PT configurations, with an optional self-contained power supply for enhanced adaptability.
