Description

Description of Power Transformers for Mining

This Description of Power Transformers for Mining focuses on the KS13 series, a specialized power distribution equipment engineered exclusively for mining scenarios. It stands out with core advantages tailored to underground and mining environments: compact size for easy deployment in limited spaces, simple integration with existing mine power systems, a rational and robust structure for durability, and low energy loss for cost efficiency. Additionally, it delivers excellent thermal performance to maintain stable operation even in high-temperature mining conditions.

Constructed with high-permeability laminated silicon steel sheets, the KS13 series ensures structural sturdiness to withstand the vibrations and harsh conditions of mines. High and low-voltage cable junction boxes are welded on both sides of the tank wall, facilitating secure cable connections. For voltage adjustment, the high-voltage coils are designed with a tap voltage of ±5% of the rated voltage. Note that this adjustment requires power cutoff first, followed by removing the weatherproof cover of the tap changer on the tank wall.

On the low-voltage side, the transformer supports flexible power supply configurations: Y-connection for 693V or D-connection for 400V, with secondary terminals directly mounted in the cable junction box for simplified wiring. Six porcelain bushings are provided for lead-outs, while hanging lugs welded on the tank wall enable convenient hoisting. A skid is installed at the bottom of the tank, featuring mounting holes that allow compatibility with mine cart rollers when necessary—further enhancing its adaptability to mining site logistics.

Applications of Power Transformers for Mining

Designed to meet the unique demands of mining environments, our oil-immersed power transformers for mining excel in scenarios requiring reliable power distribution with capacities up to 1250KVA and voltage ratings of 10KV or lower. As a general-purpose solution, these units are engineered for non-explosion-proof applications, making them a go-to choice for critical on-site needs.

In mining operations, their primary role centers on powering essential systems: from illuminating underground work zones to driving auxiliary machinery and supporting general power distribution networks. This versatility ensures seamless energy flow where it matters most—keeping operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Practicality is built into every detail. Shipped with detachable components, these transformers simplify on-site setup: after transport, they can be quickly assembled with their disassembled parts and put through testing without the need for core lifting inspections. This design cuts down on installation time and minimizes operational delays, making them a reliable partner for mining sites focused on productivity.

Whether for lighting, machinery, or distribution, these oil-immersed mining transformers deliver the performance and convenience that modern mining operations demand.
